ONDES is a creation that travels through the diversity of the French language by following the River and Canal Ourcq, from Courmont in Aisne to Place Stalingrad in Paris. It is therefore a hydrolinguistic work that brings together waterways and visual and sound recordings.
Like the river, language is in motion and fed by multiple contributions.
Each individual, family, couple or group taking part in the audio collection in the Écouter-Parler truck chooses from among 63 fishing floats, symbolic witnesses to these 63 encounters. This journey is also a time for a photographic collection of the landscapes of the river and the canal.
In front of the totem, by choosing a float in the dedicated app, you trigger a sequence. The flows of visual and sound material then converge to create a visual work of digital dissolution. They follow one another, matching the rhythm of the voices and the waterway.
